Summer Exhibitions Opening Event at Horsham Regional Art Gallery
Welcome to the opening of two new exhibitions at Horsham Regional Art Gallery.
The Difference Between Here and There presents new work by local artist, Paul Blackman. Inspired by the forms of rural industry across the Wimmera and Mallee, Blackman uses virtual reality to construct expansive digital environments that are later transformed into photographic works. The exhibition invites audiences to consider the relationship between virtual and physical space, and how perception, memory and imagination shape your experience of the world. Blackman will also present a short artist talk.
Her View showcases works from the Horsham Regional Art Gallery Collection by female artists whose photography, paintings, and mixed media works reflect and respond to the Wimmera region, offering diverse perspectives on landscape, identity, and place.
