Kannamaroo Festival
The Kannamaroo Festival is a family friendly and free community event held in April this year in Horsham.
The Kannamaroo Festival commenced in 1980 and has been operating ever since. The Festival is located at Sawyer Park and the Soundshell on the banks of the Wimmera River, with fireworks across the road at the City Oval. The Wimmera River, the iconic waterway, was the inspiration behind the name of the festival; ‘Kanna’ meaning beautiful and ‘Amaroo’ meaning waterhole.
During the weekend festival, you can enjoy the carnival and amusements at Sawyer Park on Saturday and family friendly activities, food trucks, music, carnival rides and amusements and ‘Australian Storybook Tour’ at the Soundshell on Sunday.
Organised by Horsham Rural City Council
