GRAMPIANS HORSE RIDING CENTRE
Saddle up and ride through acres of farm and bushland. Meander through the gum trees and take in the spectacular mountain views, bird and wildlife you will see along the way. The Grampians Horse Riding Centre has horses for all levels of experience and also offers horse courses for those interested in owning their own horse or wanting to pursue a career in the horse industry. GRAMPIANS QUAD BIKE ADVENTURES
Come and explore the Grampians in a new, fun and exciting way on one of guided quad bike tours. Experience the excitement at the foothills of the majestic Grampians ranges, see kangaroos and other wildlife as you make your way round. No experience is necessary as full training and instruction given when you arrive. There are two and three-hour tours, and due to popular demand on offer is also a 1.5 hours family tour with children aged 12-16 years old.
GRAMPIANS MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE COMPANY – ROCK CLIMBING
Whether you want to get over your fear of heights or you just want to get up close and personal with the rocks, rock climbing is for you. The Wartook Valley has some of the best spots to climb for all levels of experience. Your accommodation provider will be more than happy to organise a suitable instructor to take you out for half a day or a full day.
4WD DRIVING – SELF DRIVE
Whether you are in your own car or want a personalised tour, the Grampians and The Black Range State Park has some rough and rugged tracks to test your skills whilst also taking in the wonderful scenery. Your accommodation provider will be more than happy to point you in the right direction with suitable routes to take. FISHING – VICTORIAN INLAND FISHING CHARTERS
For the more sedentary adventurer, sit back with a stubby, cast your line and wait for the fish. Green Lake, Taylor’s Lake, Natimuk Lake (currently dry), Lake Wartook and the Wimmera River are all great locations for excellent fishing and yabbying. There are boat ramps and picnic facilities available at all locations.
There are plenty of roads and tracks in and around the Wartook Valley to ride both mountain and road bikes whilst also enjoying the scenery. Whether you want to go out for half a day, full day or several days, there is something for everyone. Bring your own bike or there are several mountain bikes for hire at the Asses Ears Wilderness Lodge.
HISTORIC AND CULTURAL TOURS
The Wartook Valley has several interesting Aboriginal art sites to view and pioneering history to tell.
