Horsham parks and gardens are a must, visit May Park onDimboola Road one of the most popular parks in Horsham with a sheltered barbecue area. Swayer Park is located along the Wimmera River and features large open spaces, and coin operated barbecues. Horsham Botanic Gardens features a playground for children, picnic tables and free gas operated barbecues. Weir park boasts wonderful river views and ample room for children to enjoy.

Horsham Police Paddock forms part of an important wildlife corridor. The reserve features a black box swamp, a remnant of the endemic vegetation of the area. The wetlands is a home for many species of birds and fish.

Try your hand at the newly established Stone Forest Adventure 18 hole mini golf course, located beside Toys Garden Restaurant. This course is as stunning as it is challenging, view the Great Wall of Horsham, a work in progress which once completed, will run 200 metres around the Stone Forest Golf Course and gardens.

Horsham Aquatic Centre is a Horsham Rural City Council owned facility managed by the Victorian YMCA. The new centre offers state of the art facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools and full gym facilities.

Spend your morning or afternoon at Horsham Lanes & Games indoor facility. The complex offers 12 lanes for ten pin bowling and video games or why not try Kids Capers Play Café. This exciting venue for children to enjoy is also relaxing for adults. The centre has a fun and safe indoor playground and provides coffee in a comfy, stay all day café.

Getting To Horsham

Horsham lies 300 kilometres north-west of Melbourne and 450 kilometres south east of Adelaide, on the main rail and road routes linking Victoria with Adelaide.

The Western Highway is the main artery through Horsham connecting Melbourne and Ballarat in the south-east and Adelaide in the north-west. There is also the Wimmera Highway which connects St Arnaud to the east, Naracoorte in the west and the Henty Highway connecting the south-western areas of Victoria such as Hamilton, Warrnambool and Portland, along with Warracknabeal and Mildura in the north.
